The Ashbel Smith Building, known as “Old Red”, is a Romanesque Revival architecture, originally constructed in 1892. The red brick and sandstone structure was registered as a Historical Landmark in 1996. In 2008, the building was submerged 6 ft. underwater by Hurricane Ike.

PC helped revive the building with a complete historical restoration overseen by the City of Galveston Historical Society and multiple jurisdictional agencies. Asbestos & hazardous material abatement was also completed.
